One-Off Part Manufacturing  

The term one-off part production is discussed in professional circles when a traditional wooden window production converts to modern window systems. There are different definitions and configuration levels. However, one-off part production in the final stage in an optimized form is a highly coordinated, sophisticated method which can achieve effective savings of 20 to 40% of production costs without having to make exorbitant investments. The manufacturing process is, however, completely converted. This is the biggest challenge. Meanwhile, there are opportunities to gradually switch from the frame by frame production to the optimized nature of the one-off part production.

The meaningfulness of one-off part production with respect to manufacturing efficiency and cost savings is, in principle, achieved by working as long as possible on the loose piece (i.e. one-off part ) in the manufacturing process.

All window parts are manufactured six-sided, with all holes, completely by machine through means of flexible CNC technology. One uses counter-dowel screw, or even better, counter-bolted frame corner joints. Glazing beads are milled as far as possible instead of being cut. The groove width on the internal window sashes profile can be made to fit the glass thickness through tool splitting with software control. The optional switch to separated glazing beads can also be produced elegantly on the CNC machining center through clever tool and process planning with the press of a button.

 After machining, the parts come directly into surface treatment. One of the most important cost savings can be achieved by a suitable surface treatment of the parts as loose pieces in processing. The intermediate or final coating can be done, for example, with horizontal surface spraying machines, six sided with virtually one hundred percent paint recovery. You can spray paint the parts by hand on special hooks. Since all parts are surface-treated six sided, a virtual "cavity protection" is obtained after assembly of the frame. All concealed grain surfaces are perfectly protected and surface defects are almost impossible due to capillary joints.

The parts of the window sashes are fitted together around the disk and then screwed together on a dedicated mounting table. The glass can be adjusted at any time from the outside using adjustable setting blocks. It can also be glued to the window sashes in an alternative but more elaborate method.

Last but not least, the rubber seals and fittings are assembled. The window frame is mounted similarly. The window ashe is hung in the window frame and the tension of the fittings is adjusted.
