For those of you who don't know me ...  

My name is

Dittmar Siebert 

I am married and have 2 children.  

I grew up in a traditional craft business (my
grandfather was a cabinet maker) specializing
in wooden and plastic windows. After finishing
my studies at a college of commerce I then
went back to school to become a cabinet maker.
After a year of community service I then studied
wood technology in Rosenheim, successfully
completing my diploma in 1984. 

Through the years I have accumulated a lot of professional and practical experience particularly in the construction of windows, doors, facades and conservatories

I concentrated on these areas as well as staircase construction during my time as a technology transfer consultant at the Holzfachschule Bad Wildungen (Institute of Wood Technology in Bad Wildungen). I was also able to apply my expertise in the fields of CAD / CAM / CNC technology. I wrote several books, professional articles and essays about these fields during this time. The highlight was winning an innovation award for a newly developed window system in 2012.

 

Since March 2013 I am working as a freelance engineer.

 Compass ist ein CAD/CAM Pionier

Compass ist in vielschichtiger Hinsicht einer der Pioniere im Bereich von CAD-CAM-CNC. Dies kann man generell sagen aber insbesondere in Bezug auf den Treppenbau. In den Anfangsjahren, als es eigentlich nichts anderes gab wie die DIN/ISO Programmierung verfügte Compass schon über Module der CAD/CAM Ansteuerung im Treppenbau und das nicht nur, wie die meisten Programme mit maximal 4 Achsen. Compass war einer der ersten Programme und ist heute noch einer der wenigen Programme, welches fünfachsig interpolierende Bearbeitungen projektorientiert kollisionsfrei absolut sicher durchführen kann. Bei fünfachsig voll interpolierenden Bearbeitungen bewegt sich ein Hauptbearbeitungskopf nicht nur in den drei Raumachsen sondern gleichzeitig bewegt sich eine vertikale Drehachse (4te Achse) und eine horizontale Drehachse (5te Achse). Softwaretechnisch, mathematisch ist das hochkomplex und läßt sich von Hand fast nicht mehr in Einzelschritten programmieren.
